Image Sleuth / Watermarked stolen content on Youtube« on: July 21, 2024, 22:22 »
Is there any way to report this kind of usage if it's not your content?
https://youtu.be/XsmovdShOXo?si=iTOq-f6lF9LOlQNC I've had my own content removed from this kind of usage before but I do not see options for general theft. 3
General Stock Discussion / Poll results weird« on: July 04, 2024, 22:36 »
I don't see Pixta on the poll results, but I do see Canstock. Is Pixta really doing so bad that they are behind an agency that closed down?

Adobe Stock / Re: Updated content policies on Adobe Stock« on: June 28, 2024, 01:22 »
I got one today to tell me 42 of my assets have been deleted. But there is no info about what assets they were. It would be nice to know what to avoid shooting.

Submitting is worst than before. Autofill used to be helpful but now it needs to be done on each photo instead of just automatically.

Buying stolen good and reselling them is illegal, so best tot to publicize that.

Canva / Canva Tax Forms« on: November 29, 2023, 23:15 »
Canva sent out an e-mail saying we need to re-register for payment methods and submit tax forms.
Re-registering was simple, but the process for tax is: "Submitting a tax form Enter and save your payout information. To find out how to set up your payout information, check our article on setting up payments. Click Submit a tax form. Click Try our tax form wizard to understand which tax form applies to you (it'll depend on your personal situation)." BUT, I do not see these buttons to click anywhere! Anybody else having this problem? Or know where they might be found? (It's not under Payments) 9
Paypal / Re: Paypal new currency conversion« on: October 31, 2023, 21:11 »
I logged in to check what was happening because I noticed all my payments were being converted to local currency. Under Notifications I saw this message:
Changes to your account From September 11, 2023, updated Payment Receiving Preferences may impact the currencies that you can receive payments in. Please review your preference to continue with normal operation of your account. So, it looks like after the Payment Receiving Preferences was updated, the settings were reset to default. 10
Paypal / Paypal new currency conversion« on: October 31, 2023, 01:11 »
Paypal has new currency conversion choices. One choice is to automatically convert money to your local currency. This is the most expensive option (It looks like a much higher conversion percent). So of course PP is making this the default option after the change. I suggest people go check and if they want to be like it was choose the third option there.

General Stock Discussion / Infringement on Medium« on: July 24, 2023, 01:21 »
I thought Medium.com had better protocols in place to avoid copyright infringement. This article is using a watermarked Getty image.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Will Contributors Soon have to Pay Microstock Agencies to Host their Content?« on: July 13, 2023, 23:02 »
Photo Shelter and 500 Pix had similar things didn't they? Didn't work well.
Nimia has a pay tier that allows some perks for sales. 13
Adobe Stock / Re: 9 Million+ AI generated photos - Stock Photography coming to end« on: June 13, 2023, 22:45 »
Stock photography is coming to an end has been the most consistent topic on this forum for the last 15 years. And yet, here we are.

Yaymicro / Re: Any update on Yayimages performance ?« on: April 13, 2023, 22:16 »
I thought I was finally going to get a payout after 10 years but I see they have increased threshold to $60, so it might take another 10 years.

Your tax form has expired and you need to redo it. You need to resubmit tax forms every 3 years.

General - Stock Video / Has Nimia dropped contributors?« on: May 09, 2022, 04:19 »
I haven't been checking on Nimia or uploaded anything new there for a long time. I tried to log in last week but could not log in. Thought I may have forgotten my password but password recovery says it is sending to e-mail but does not. I can't find any of old content on searches.
Has Nimia done that Videoblocks block thing where they drop a lot of contributors but unlike VB not tell anybody about it? I don't want to jump to conclusions but I can't think of what else may have happened. 21
General Stock Discussion / Video about thieves stealing package using stolen watermarked photos« on: May 07, 2022, 06:12 »
This video about thieves stealing a package is using stolen watermarked photos. I can't report any because none of the photos are mine and SS don't care. Maybe DT will. If you see yours in first 25 seconds, you can report it. I suggest not watching more than that to avoid boosting the video rating.

Just got an e-mail from 123RF for "Trends to Upload for September."
What do you think they mean by that? We know they are not going to review anything uploaded now until January or March. Are they predicting next September's trends? |
