I got 2.8$ as "Free Collection", a strange number, less than the supposed 4$ for a photo. By the way, I have only one image in the free collection.

Sales were very good at AS this week, it's supppper slow at SS, looks like the new subscription model affected badly my sales.

Looking at the last 10 payments dates, these all happened between 5 and 8 of each month, so nothing unusual.

Cobalt,
Yes it was RPD of 45 cents ($0.45) for photos and RPD of $4.34 for video on iStock in April which is almost 10x for video than photos.
Congrats, for me, video RPD at Istock is low: Jan:1.5$. Feb: 1.4$. March: 1.3. April: 1.35$.

I am ready to believe him, because I have heard from others with high income who were exclusive to pond5.
They set high prices 300-500 dollars and at 60% you can make quite a bit of money. He also has a lot of Covid related content and anyway around 30? videos. So, I think it is possible.
That is why they always got so upset when people like me would price hd clips at 10-20 dollars. But I was uploading ducks in the park, I didn't feel it merited higher prices
Basically they set the price according to what they would have earned if it was a custome shot. Maybe a little cheapee but still in the range.
Nothing wrong with that.
Files are not created equal, I don't understand why it all has to be the same price.
An agency with good quality content where creators can set their own prices, I think that is now missing.
The video people have better networking, maybe they will rally around a smaller existing place or somebody starts a new company with high quality exclusive content.
The slash of percentage from 60% to 40% for exclusives have another big impact on their income...

At the end of last year, when Pond5 announced the changes to exclusive ratesfrom 60% to 40%and dataset earningsfrom 60% to 20%I estimated here in the forum that the actual loss would be at least 50% of my monthly income.
I was wrong. Its significantly morecloser to a 63% drop. So for every $1,000 I used to earn in 2024, I now make around $370. In my case, Ive already lost thousands in just the first four months.
But this is all a matter of perspectivewhats bad for me may be good for other contributors, and likely is. Otherwise, how can we explain the fact that Pond5 adds half a million new clips every month? Most of the new contributors seem to come from Eastern Europe, Russia, and Asiausually from Bangladesh or Indiawith some portfolios containing over 100,000 clips.
I've lost almost 100%. I would get 3-6 DL a month. I just had my second DL of the year last week.
I used to get some sales every month, I still got few, but most sales are under 15$, several below 5$, which made Pond5 another low earning agency. For now Storyblocks is, by far, my highest earner, with much less clips than P5 or SS.

A bit better this week than the past two weeks where I didn't make $100. Two things more noteworthy is I just received $20.78 on a photo which was a surprise as most don't even make $1, and the other is the low rank / position. My number of weekly sales is pretty typical so not too bad yet position is low. This would suggest everyone is doing pretty well with their volume of sales?
I think it's a glitch. Now, I have 33 dls, 50$, Pos: 5800

Yesterday I had my best day ever at Adobe, a buyer bought a whole video collection of 50 clips, I went from ~13000 to 7160... Pure luck
And next week your account is blocked because of irregular activity
Hehe... I don't think so, because these videos are related, and if a user has a certain type of projects, he will need them all.

Ah great thanks. I just did that (pushed the dates back further.)
I came across some more 4k videos of mine that were sold (just a few.) And I see that they were all sold at HD resolution for a few dollars each. Yea I think I'm leaning more towards the idea of uploading HD videos to AS in the future.
Think twice about that. Sure many customers will buy your 4K video at HD with a low price. But when they do buy 4k, it pays a lot more. For example I get $2.80 for HD but also a $55.63 for a 4K download. So, if you only have HD you would be missing out on the bigger sales most likely. But I don't do videos that much so not sure if my sales figures tell that much. Just saying.
Yes, valid points. For a long time, I have submitted 4k videos to different agencies in the hope that I would get some high earnings. But that has never happened. Ive never sold a 4k video at the standard 4k pricing. Yes, a customer could purchase a 4k video though AS but more than likely, it would be a subscription sale in which case I would only receive a few dollars.
The other thing is that uploading 4k videos to AS is a major pain due to my super slow internet speed. I could spend a whole day trying to upload a single 4k video multiple times throughout the day and not succeed. Though oddly, I can upload 4k videos to P5 with hardly any issues. Due to that, Ive accumulated a back log of 4k videos that are yet to be submitted to AS. Today, Ive started uploading HD videos to AS and the upload speeds are blazingly fast. And no issues at all. It's so much more efficient.
1 - upload short clips (8 to 20 seconds) 2 - use mp4 with 25 to 50 mbps

Guessing Shutterstock jumped the gun...
https://www.shutterstock.com/unlimited now has a 404. Anyone screenshot it before it went?
Yes, it's 404. But, the link "Get Unlimited Downloads" in the top right corner is still working... Also, this one: https://www.shutterstock.com/pricing... Why anyone would subscribe if he can get a lot more from envato elements for the same price? (psd files, graphic templates, Ae templates, Pr.....)

nothing shows on mine. Not the current month and not the past either
You have to select "March 2025" from the "Select" menu in the top right

Hello,
I am new in Storyblocks. i wonder if it's normal that my top clips are not showing on my dashboard anymore. It's been about 2weeks...
You can see only the top clips of previous months, not the current one. It's displaying normally on my side. But, for March only, it's displaying different results every day, I'm trying to figure March's top clips, but as I said, I got different results every day.

You can compare the figures and see whether that seems realistic. There are certainly deviations in the weekly ranking because it is not calculated in real time. These deviations should not exist in the overall ranking.
So: My lifetime ranking has fallen to 3,090 today. I've had 45,625 downloads at Adobe so far - I have only images, no videos. If there is someone who has sold a similar number of images sold, they can post their total downloads. If there are significant deviations - which I don't believe - then the Adobe statistics would not be correct.
Ok, uff. I thought that lifetime ranking around 3,000 would have over 100k downloads. Then probably just the top 100 are making real money and the rest gets the scraps nowdays.
Climbed slightly to position 17,700 (total 6,552 downloads).
Very close to my Pos: 17600 (6595 downloads)... I don't have a lot of downloads these days, so you'll probably be ahead in a week or 2 (congrats).

Can IMStudio also submit videos to all the stock platforms? This has usually been the big challenge over the years
You can upload to all, but submit to 5: IS, P5, Dt, SS, AS. What I do is the following: fill metadata in IMStudio, export to CSV's from within IMStudio, apply these CSV's in those sites where submission is not supported.. for me, I use CSV's successfully at Envato, Storyblocks, and any other site where IMStudio failed to upload (upload is sometimes buggy). These days, I never fill metadata manually at any stock site. For IS and Dt, I still prefer Microstock.plus, as it has unlimited free submissions to these sites. So, upload once to Microstock.plus, and let it submit to both sites... The good thing about Microstock.plus is that it's very stable in upload and submission.

If you don't mind spending some money, I recommend imstocker Studio. It's not expensive (4$ per month), you can fill all metadata in an effective way, let it upload and submit files automatically to several sites, and create CSVs that are compatible with many sites.

while i am worried about the coming us recession i also just read it is spring break in the us
Based on my sales data on SS, only a small portion comes from the US, with the majority coming from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Exactly the same here... Regarding AS, I barely have sales during US work hours recently, so I suppose that majority of my sales come from Europe, Middle east, and Asia.

Does anyone know when the current Photoshop Beta (with it's apparently amazing auto-isolation tools) will become the production version?
If you are a subscriber, just download it and use it (I do), why to wait?

Yes, last 2 months are really bad at SS, for the first time ever my video sales at SS are 1/3 of those at AS this month. 0 sales so far at Pond5 this month, which is rare.

- What exactly happened with that merger?
For us: they took 25% of the money of non-exclusives, 33% of the money of exclusives
