This year is better than 2023 for me, with an average of around 250$ per month (no new files uploaded, but I've transferred more videos to my exclusive account).

General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales« on: August 04, 2024, 03:16 »I had my 76$ video sale on 24/07...... as I was not uploading there for 4 years now, I can see constant drop in sale numbers... but, if there are some `benefits` from not uploading, I can see when something changes drastically... SS have experimented with pricing or with `richer` customers during that period and at the end of the month... or some kind of postponed reports were triggered then... 3
iStockPhoto.com / Re: june sales are in« on: July 18, 2024, 05:47 »
I recommend that you concentrate on photos with Istock, video sales are similar to photos, so why the hassle? in my case: 18 video sales for 15$, sales are between 0.03$ and 1.75$. 4
Pond5 / Re: Big surprise of Pond5's new "price test". They actually raised price on most« on: July 18, 2024, 03:20 »Im left in the dirt. Each year I clear about $1500. This year to date Im at $145. Trajectory is $290. Something changed when SS bought them. I know there are swings in any business, but this pattern is repeatable for almost seven months. I think thats enough to conclude that P5 is now dead for me, like RF 123 was. Pond5 is doing good for me this year, last year I made 2378$, this year till today 1960$ (147$ sold today). It depends on luck in my case, as I have some unique editorial clips, but it's a very specific niche. 5

Adobe Stock / Re: What's your weekly ranking and how many images?« on: June 29, 2024, 10:51 »Usually I'm anywhere between 4000 and 7000. This week is bad in number of downloads, but luckily some good video sales... 1500 videos, 6500 images (mostly Ai, created as a hobby by my son). Ai downloads reached 440 on October 2023 and it's decreasing slowly despite the increase in portfolio, this month it's 245 Ai downloads only. Edit: I barely create content for microstock, I sell some archival material that we shoot for our documentaries, and some motion graphics clips that I created for my commercial projects. Among my 1500 video clips, there is 250 motion graphics clips which most of my video sales are coming from. I've created a nice motion graphics clip in After effects for a client, it was looking good. I gave the Ae project to my son and he created 250 clips as variations of that project, I've uploaded those and that collection's income is between 200-300$ per month for the last 18 months. I guess I'm really lucky, I barely do anything for microstock but despite that I got around 1000$ extra income each month. I have some ideas to create additional motion graphics clips, but currently I'm super busy. 7

Sales are random at P5, but this year it's somehow stable: Jan 7 sales, Feb 7 sales, March till now 5 sales.

Adobe Stock / Re: I see many $1.40 royalty per photo sale this year. Anybody noticed too?« on: February 28, 2024, 03:48 »
I have 3 0.37$ sales today, and 5 yesterday. Looking further, no 0.38$ since 22 Feb, since that day I have a lot of 0.36 and 0.37$ sales. But besides those, I have a lot of 0.25 and 0.26$ sales due to 30% tax withhold on US sales (I can't tell about the higher priced sales), and I have such huge deductions of my stock sales everywhere. The hardest one is on Storyblocks, which is 30% on everything. So, imagine that statement from Storybolcks: Pretax total: 1000$, net total: 700$.
I have such numbers everywhere, all the time . 16

General Stock Discussion / Re: Income from AI Generative stock« on: January 30, 2024, 01:37 »Just curious how people are doing selling AI stock. I've been playing around in MidJourney, having fun, considering trying to sell AI stock but wondering if I've already missed the boat? Are there already so many AI images available that it's not worth the time? No, you didn't miss the boat. Newly created Ai images do sell well. 20
Adobe Stock / Re: I can't find my approved images on Adobestock« on: January 29, 2024, 23:35 »Ive no idea how to switch regions (or what region I'm currently set to) but I just did a test. I searched for three of my photos and I found them without any issues. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll find it at the left of the black bar. I just tried to search for "Beirut" (the capital city of Lebanon) in videos, using US as a region: 1583 results. Switching to Lebanon as a region: 5 results! So, imagine that: if you are logging AS from Lebanon as a region you will find 5 videos for your own capital, while if you login from US you will find 1583 results! 21
Adobe Stock / Re: I can't find my approved images on Adobestock« on: January 28, 2024, 18:22 »Many users complained in the past that the search results are completely different depending on the region you use to access the AS site...Are these the same people who complain about the rejection of their artificial automatic "creations"? No, these are people who see much fewer results of certain topic if they access AS site form a certain region. Anyway, it's been a long time (maybe a year?) since the last complaint here. If I remember right, a contributor from Egypt or Saudi Arabia couldn't see his images that were about Egypt or Saudi Arabia if he accesses AS using his region(!), but could see his images if he uses US as a region, this definitely may impact his sales badly. By the way, I tried that myself in the past, and the difference was huge in the number of results for the same topic if I access the site using 2 different regions. 22
