I'm kind of confused.  I had more than enough downloads in 2020 to qualify for the single app bonus but I have no blue banner or anything like that.  Am I missing something?

*** Update ***  Editing to say that I think I figured it out.  I found the following on one of their FAQ pages:  An active contributor is an Adobe Stock contributor with at least two (2) submitted and approved qualifying assets in 2020.

I haven't submitted any new work in years so I guess that's it.

Never mind!  I found it!  I knew as soon as I posted the question, I'd find it!

Please forgive this utterly stupid question but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to see my Fotolia rank.  I've been a contributor there for years but can't seem to figure this out.   :-[  Can anyone point me to how I can view it?  Thanks so much in advance!

Pixmac / Re: Dreamstime and Pixmac Investigation
« on: July 22, 2011, 08:05 »
Can anyone definitively say whether 123RF terminated their contract with Pixmac or not?  I found my images there and contacted Pixmac support.  They told me in their reply to me that "Pixmac has a partnership with 123rf and features also their collections.  This partnership was not terminated and that is why you have your images at Pixmac."

So which is it??!!?  >:(

Editing to add that I also contacted 123RF support asking them.  I'll report back when I get a reply.

It's very positive to see how many have used their skills from microstock to branch into other areas of photography - serving clients and/or selling prints, etc.  Nice to know there is life after microstock for any of us who want to get off this particular roller coaster ride.

Lisa it sounds like you need a bit of a break. Stop shooting for microstock, don't upload anything, ban yourself from the forums (sorry Tyler!) and just plan out what you want to do for a while. Re-evaluate your position in 3-6 mths time.

I think taking a break is a great suggestion.  Sometimes it's just necessary.  I took a break about 2 years ago for reasons not worth going into here.  I stopped uploading and rarely visited the forums.  I'm back in the game now though.  Like most others I too have been horribly discouraged by all the bad news lately, however, I also have an urge to take pictures.  My poor camera misses me.  My break is over and I'm ready to get back to work.  Sure, it's bad timing given the current state of things but it's just time for me.

I got paid today too. Yes, a schedule would be nice.

I had to wait 20 days to get paid by FT last month.  Looks like this month will be a repeat of that one.  Going on 12 days now.

I finally got paid this morning, after a 20 day wait.  I immediately requested another payment and pray it doesn't take equally as long to receive.  I've never had to wait that long with them before.  Good luck to the others who were still waiting.

9
Well, I got the typical canned response:

Quote
Dear Amy,
We apologize for the delay. Our customer support department is currently processing these payments as fast as they can making sure that they are done accurately after they have been validated. It can take between 2 to 3 weeks
Kind regards,
Fotolia Team U.S
718-577-1321

Of course that doesn't explain why some folks have been getting timely payments within days of requesting as described in this thread.  Oh well, not a lot I can do about it I guess but sit on my butt and wait...........   :'(

10
Hmmm, very strange.  Thanks everyone for letting me know.  I've sent a message to support.

11
Your wait may indeed be due to a waiting period but they seem to be having a longer than normal delay on payments right now for some reason.  (At least for me...) I've been waiting on a payment since July 2nd, which is a bit unusual. Seems I'm not the only one.  There's a locked thread on their forums where some folks have been waiting since June 26th!  Anyone else been paid lately?

The team is moving a set of files between servers this afternoon. In order to make sure it goes smoothly they need to shut the forums off.

The forums will be down from 13:30 to 14:30 MST. (that's about an hour and a half from now) If there are any changes we will let you know here. Thanks everyone.

Off Topic / Re: How Long Is Your Commute To Work?
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:19 »
On Monday, Tuesday and every other Friday I work from home.  On other days it's 3 hours round trip (90 minutes each way) and a total of about 140 miles. (Around 70 miles each way)  I'm quite thankful for those work-at-home days! :)

Hi Lisa,
They aren't sending them this year.  They posted the following notice at the end of January:

Quote
Payments our agency makes to our contributors relate to amounts we due with respect to a sale of a product, versus the provision of a service. As consequence, we will not be sending a 1099 for any amounts we paid during the calendar year 2008. It is your obligation to report all payments, including the ones made by our agency, to all appropriate tax authorities or your tax preparer in case you have one.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Are you uploading during Xmas?
« on: December 20, 2008, 19:57 »
Since I work fulltime and have a rather long commute (63 miles one way) I use my vacation time to shoot stock.  I have the week of Christmas off so I'll be shooting like mad all week, except for Christmas day.  I probably won't get them all keyworded and uploaded until after Jan 1.

Rain, rain and more rain here in the mountains of Ellijay, GA.  It's about 58F so no chance of snow for a bit.  We just moved here back in April so we're looking forward to getting some snow this winter.  We rarely got snow in Buford, GA.

In caspixel's defense I have seen her (?) on several threads at IS over the years voicing her displeasure with pricing.  She's not just referring to the one thread that was referenced here.

To caspixel, welcome!  :) Please continue to give us your perspective.  Speaking for myself, I would love to hear more from the buyers side of things.  I feel like you're getting a bit of a raw deal in some of the responses you've gotten here but your perspective is an important one for us.  Without the buyers where would we be as contributors?  A lot lighter in the pocket, that's for sure.

I was able to get a better translation through Google if anyone is interested.  I found the other translation a bit tough to read.  It's not perfect but a bit better.

I did have 7 images stuck from Oct. 28th.  I finally deleted and resubmitted them today.  I didn't want to get burned by the best match by leaving them up there and notifying them. (I read that the the best match will pick up on the old upload date and push it back in the search since they will have no views or downloads for a month.)
