oh ok. Do you get sales in istock ? I register in revo 2 days back and today i got their approval mail. Then i register in clipcanvas today. They dont ask for test images rather asking for any passkey or request for an invitation. Then mailed asking to wait upto 3 weeks !!
Is it something new cc started or they used to ask for such request earlier too ? And when can i expect their reply ? Thanks 130

Hello all,
i have been shooting photographs and recently started submitting footage but just with P5 and SS. Though still have small port but ss doing much better and hope p5 sales will also improve as soon as my port size improves. But i have not yet submitted to revo and clipcanvas.. are these sites worth one's time and efforts these days? How have you been doing with these 2 sites ? 131
Flickr / Re: Did you make any sales through Flickr?« on: March 02, 2013, 23:21 »
I get sales through flickr getty but never through flickr directly though people used to request me for free images. Though i had disabled the right click saving still when i searched some of my images were(and some are still) being used by some people and blogs with my copyright marks.i have now removed almost all of my images from flickr and now planning to get a photoshelter account in stead.

There are different values when we see the price when see logged in and out state. Thanks for the correctionBut dont You think Amazon is charging much higher than 15% of FAA price ? I see my 36"x 23" canvas with gallery wrap has FAA price around 255$ and same is for about 475$ in Amazon. Can anyone correct me if i am doing some wrong math?Just checking - are you sure that $255 isn't the price that 'you' see when logged in, rather than the price a customer sees? 134

But how do you guys decide who are your target audience ? Do you select the location where the images is taken from ? But if it is so, then its also possible that the people from that location themselves have access to area/subject..
Like i have images of Indian people, business and farmers, so should i select india for my ad or some distant location as target for ad as distantly located people cant reach to indian real people, business that easliy ? 139

Ok Poncke. So did you succeed in selling your photographs there? If images are also sold frequently then 30$ a year is not much, one can try.
what about RM images ? do any of you sell RM also in this site ? AFAIK, RM can also be sold in POD sites if not exclusive anywhere, am I right ? 143

Interesting, So guys put same images in FAA what you sell elsewhere as RF RM in stock sites or your FAA port is completely different than your stock ports ? I do look at the FAA recently sold items and those are mostly paintings.
Recently i came to know that in Zazzle also some people are selling canvas and other stuffs for much higher price. Have a look- http://www.zazzle.com/gifts?st=price 144

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Anyone using Nikon D800?« on: November 25, 2012, 10:14 »I still do not own the D800. I was planning on buying one but after a careful evaluation I decided against. Reason: image quality. Just check carefully the 100% outputs and compare it to other cams. I was not to satisfied. The D800E can compete anyway, so this would be the Model for me to go for and maybe I will do so soon. Its wrong step to compare a 36mp pic to a 16-22 mp pic at 100% zoom. If you compare 36 mp against 16-22mp then definitely you would get flaws in 36 mp pix. For an honest comparison you need to downsize d800 pix upto 16-22 mp pix (what ever other dslr you are using for comparison), only then you will see the real difference. 149
Alamy.com / Re: Alamy - anyone submitting footage?« on: September 21, 2012, 05:08 »
dont understand why are they taking so long to open the door to all videographers. They say they first want to build a good collection from selected agencies/persons but if they allow to submit all and edit/choose the videos from submissions tightly they could easily build a large and good footage collection. But if they take years for each step, dunno how will they catch their competitors.

General Macrostock / Re: Anyone on Agefotostock?« on: September 20, 2012, 12:28 »i remember one needs to mail them a copy of contract with signature instead of apply online, is it still the same way?yes you need to send signed contracts along with a copy of your ID proof through any courier or registered post. They are now paying through paypal also. And you need to send mail and then have to send original W-8BEN form and a copy of your residential certificate of your country to their Spain office to get any concession in tax. And to get EIN number to fill in W-8BEN form you need to fill W7 form. Bit complicated but Age people are good and quite supportive. |
