I know shutterstock can be very frustrating to get accepted but I would advise you keep trying as it has now become almost essential if you want to make a decent no of dollars.

Only occasionally I try and adopt a forget it and move on philosophy - rejections seem to cause more angst than anything else in MS world - make sure you make the agency aware to avoid any trouble

I only get the odd sale but look on it as a break from the usual stock stuff and you never know might generate a little income

The pro is you will get more sales in my experience not many but can be reasonable amounts The con is you don't know where your images end up and commission is diluted I need every c I can get so am signed up

Good month on SS for me. For the 2nd month in a row Canstock doing very well at #2 this month! Dreamstime performing poorly for me with RF123 doing well. Poor month for all the Low Earners

Or alternatively fresh newer images have a chance against older images that have been overexposed

I'm confused - so buyers are forced to buy images they don't want?

It seems some think they have a divine right to be top of the search algorithms

Actually showing some faint signs of life for me - whilst review times are irritating not really a problem in the great scheme of things.

Thats good to know as I probably have some similarly "time shots". However 15 years is longer than this industry has existed so we could be looking at something very different.

I doubt there is much now that will still sell in 15 years think back to 1999 whats changed since then?

Its quite simple I want everyones elses pictures rejected and all mine accepted. I don't care what benefits SS choose to give their staff while they are so far ahead of the competition. I always try to remember no one has ever forced me to upload a picture anywhere.

It might be more honest to have a category that says "I'm not really that keen on the picture which is technically Ok but doesn't enhance the site's content" after all with over 20m pics they can afford to be picky

Agree. On a side note, did the Lobo work for IS already, or is he a Getty asset?

When you can no longer resist buying a new one. Or six months after a new release so any bugs are ironed out prices are at sensible levels and you can get a good lifespan before it becomes "oudated"

good earner for me and in the end thats what matters
Not for me! I dont want to have my stuff surrounded by such a big amount of lousy work, embeded in even worse coded environment. I like it much more to be in a agency with other good artists than to standout because the rest is crap. Although the situation in 123 increased my earnings.
Remember: "Whores go where the money is" (or bankrobbers)
You seem to be confusing Microstock with art
