WOW... I mean WOW.... Yuri is the first high volume producer who gets tired to receive $0.38 for a high resolution image. I hope this is a wake up call for the entire industry.

FT - very good month +45% compared with April 2012 ; +10% compared with march 2013
DT - good month +3% compared with April 2012 ; -16% compared with March 2013
123RF - very good month, BME regarding downloads and second BME in revenue +25% compared with April 2012 ; +2% compared with march 2013

Thanks, click_click

The images on my site are lo-res, so soft appearing when on a large monitor.

At $2k/month from Alamy with 5k images it sounds like I'd be better off with Micro as the consensus seems to run $1 to $3/image/month.

Try Fine Art America ..... those pictures are exactly what they sell most.... and they sell very  good.

Must be easy for SS while istock is in free-fall but what happens when the new buyers they're getting from istock dry up?

BIG +1.

very good question.....

i believe after that they will apply the Bigstock commission structure but with a much higher target.... :(

123RF / Re: Sales Stats on 123
« on: April 02, 2013, 03:16 »
Anyone ever figured out a way to get accurate and up to date stats on 123? For instance, today, if I look at the earnings page, I have had 3 sales. If I look at the download stats page for the month, I have had 2 sales. If I look at the download stats page for just the 1st, I have had 1 sale.

It's consistently inconsistent like this throughout the month, making it impossible to tell what you have sold at any given time. As days go by, the disparity gets bigger with sales appearing on the download stats page from 2-3 days ago.

same thing here.... every day  :-\

Overall an above average month.

SS - above average
DT - above average
123RF - good revenue BME regarding sales
FT - average
Can stock - good month
DT - average

the pie slices:

SS - 63%
FT - 15%
DT- 10%
Can - 4%
DP - 3%
123 - 5%

Dreamstime.com / Strange prices on DT
« on: March 29, 2013, 15:40 »
Today i got a level 4 image sale for 3 credits (on lvl 4 the minimum price is 9 credits). This is not the first time when i sold a Level 4 or 5 image for 3 credits...
Do you experience similar strange sales on DT??

Shutterstock.com / Re: Single Image (vector) Sale: $0.95?
« on: March 27, 2013, 07:43 »
I had  Single & Other sales on SS ranging between $1.26 ( lowest) to $16.75(highest)... i mean 1.26 , 2.30 , 2.80, 3.5, 5.75, 16.30 , 16.75 and other strange commissions that i don't remember now....

different buyer different offers.  ???

In my case: ''part time'' ,still having a job, doing very well. Stock primary income source.

137
They could have hired me (or any of m'learned friends on MSG) to tell them what they were doing wrong ... in about 15 minutes ... and for free. In fact we have all spent our precious time doing so, innumerous times, on their own forum but they chose to take no notice. Then they wonder why sales are falling off a cliff. You really couldn't make this stuff up.

+1 , +1 , +1 ..... i believe 10 seconds are enough: Stop being so greedy with contributors and clients.

138
No... and i will never use an electronic MR ( of any type). The reason is very simple: In a Courthouse signed, paper MR is more reliable.

Adobe Stock / Re: Crazy rejection of 150 images from Fotolia
« on: March 05, 2013, 16:34 »
The subject looks better suited for Alamy RM.  I doubt they will sell much on micros, maybe 25 cents every now and then?

+1 .... and will sell even better on Fine Art America. low value on micros

General Stock Discussion / Re: Earnings in February 2013
« on: March 01, 2013, 01:11 »
Slow month for me... worst than January 2013,

SS---------- average   ??? ( saved from disaster in the last days by S&O sales). First month in the last year without any EL's  >:(
FT----------- Average ( again saved from disaster by some last minute EL'S)  ;)
DT-----------Average ( as usual)  :-\
123RF------Good month , good revenue , BME regarding sales  :D
DP-----------Average
CANstock--- Good month  ;D

Hope March will be a better month.

The first results are live - you can check them out here

i have a question :

What (...) , [...] represents in the survey data??? Which one is the real average number?

''Age:

Average Age: 41.9 [42.7] (40.4)
Oldest: 86 [85] (84)
Youngest: 18 [15] (16)''

I think you will have a hard time getting accepted to Shutterstock or Istock with those photos.  Besides getting accepted, I don't think they will sell very well at either site.  Maybe try Alamy.

+1

or/and Fine Art America

really good optical design...

144
I believe the big majority of SS clients will stay on SS... BS has only 13 millions images online and SS over 21 millions. The extra 8M will make the difference for majority of clients.
........... at least i hope  ???

145
They make at least 10 stock wordy images, only in the cooking process without any sophisticated sets ( but very good ambient light).  :P

146
Sounds like at the moment queues are:
footage, immediate
photos, about a week
vectors, two weeks plus

I still have vectors from before the end of Jan waiting

my oldest files are from 02/04/2013  >:( so... 10 days

147
It was footage, this was the only batch waiting for approval, and no these files have not been accepted by istockphoto yet. Not even submitted actually.

When it comes to you guys waiting a week or so, I would not be mad about that. A week really is not that long and this is what I usually experience.

I know this super fast acceptance was a one off, but anyways it was great to see that happen : )

Yes, but on SS a week pending time is very unusual.... Mu average pending time on SS is 3-4 days ( about twice/week)

Newbie Discussion / Re: Very happy with SS
« on: February 14, 2013, 02:21 »
Since being accepted on 10th January this year I have had 277 pics accepted on SS -a 5 week period. It took me nearly 12 months to reach that number on DT!  I am over the moon as SS likes my designs which DT hates.   Working very hard to reach 1000.

This is SS... :) they earned the 1st place in the forum pool.

149
Over a week here.... and still pending  >:(

150
Nop... my sales in February are way down across the board... under average ( with the exception of 123RF and DT)  >:( >:( >:(
