Dreamstime.com / Dreamstime account hacked :(« on: December 12, 2015, 11:46 »
Today when I checked my earnings on DT I found that all my current earnings ($87) were converted in credits. When i was still on my account somebody started to buy images from the site using my acount/credits. I imideately changed the password ... but nothing... the ''Shopping match'' did not cease (probally he didn't log out ).
I had contacted DT using the phone number but nothing... the phone operations are closed until monday, eventually i send them a mail... but that can take weeks to get an answer. THERE IS ANOTHER WAY to contact DT. faster??? or what to do? PS after this incident i changed all my paswords on every stock site including mail. 4

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Help me choose a good lens for Canon 60D« on: May 20, 2015, 05:29 »
In 90% of my photos (for stock) I use two lenses : Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM and Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM L, despite the fact that i have other quality lenses.
Personally I will chose a fixed focal lens for stock photography. 6

General Stock Discussion / Re: April Sales« on: April 19, 2015, 02:45 »
sales are dying almost across the board for me ( with the exception of DT and DP where the sales are increasing constantly )
SS - very low sales in the last 5 months FT - disaster ( it used to be my second earner before the adobe deal) DT - increasing DP- increasing 123RF - constant CAN stock - very slow Alamy- slow Considering that SS and FT (the most affected sites) combined used to make 70% of the revenue...... 9
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock raised image price by 20 cents. No raise for contributors?« on: April 18, 2015, 05:35 »
I believe the next move from SS is the introduction of some sort of Bigstock level structure for contributors, cutting even more from that .38 that pay us.

General Stock Discussion / Re: March 2015 earnings« on: April 02, 2015, 02:24 »
SS - disappointing -30% compared with march 2014) but an increase compared with jan. and feb.
DT - good, I see a steady increase there in the last 4 months and on the 1st April I earned $52 in a single day a record for me there FT - disappointing (3rd month in row with low sales) and FT falls under DT regarding my second earner after SS for the 3rd month in row. Canstock - very good - steady increase there 123RF - average Overall a good month due to the revenue made on Alamy past sales DP - average Alamy - good steady increase 13

General Stock Discussion / Re: Does a photoshopped person need a MR?« on: February 25, 2015, 16:50 »
If the photoshoped person can recognize himself, the answer is yes. But very likely the agencies will reject the file because you don't provided a signed MR, only the illustrations made from scratch can pass but not 100%

General Stock Discussion / Re: Have you ever had all agencies firing on all cylinders at the same time?« on: February 10, 2015, 17:03 »
No... But despite disastrous sales on FT and SS (my first two earners)in the last two months DT and ALamy sales were very good but not even close to catch the loses.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock sales is sinking deeply...« on: February 09, 2015, 15:46 »
My sales on SS were horribe in Jan.... worst month since February 2012... I read most of the post regarding the ''SS problem''; I concluded that accelerated dillution combined with aggressive promotion of low quality but ''profitable'' (meaning .25 , .33 contributors) images in search engine.... SS is the winer and majority of professional contributors the loosers...
P.S. At the end you must satisfy the shareholders with constant growth in revenue regardless the metod. 20
